We will provide a report containing our findings, opinions, and conclusions, including our recommendations for proposed construction, maintenance, or modification activities based on the witnessed behaviors and nesting season time periods.
As an example of our services, Trileaf completes and submits Eagle Nest Take permit applications on behalf of our clients. Additionally, we handle all correspondence with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, submit all after-action reports, and handle all required pre-nest removal and post-nest removal monitoring once the permit has been received
Trileaf maintains an independent database of known bald eagle nest sites, ensuring you have the best access to current, relevant information and permitting procedures.
For all evaluation reports in which eggs or flightless juvenile migratory birds are observed occupying a nest, we will provide you with estimated fledge dates based on statistical analysis pulled from thousands of projects. Trileaf’s fledge date estimation is narrow and accurate, consistently within one week of the actual fledge date.
This information assists carriers in scheduling start dates for construction, maintenance, or modifications — a certain benefit to your project.
“Trileaf is our preferred vendor for Migratory Bird Evaluations. Trileaf is known for having the best avian biologists on staff.”
“WOW!! Talk about QUICK.”
“Tyler and his team hit it out of the park. This is a busy season anyway with lots of nesting kicking off and I know you folks have lots of requests that come in. Trileaf’s Bird Program continues to impress with their ease of doing business and spot on reporting.”
Frequently referred to as one of our specialties, Trileaf implements a ground-based approach to performing Migratory Bird Evaluations (MBE). Equipped with a high-powered spotting scope, a qualified biologist will conduct a ground-based survey to determine bird species and the presence or absence of any eggs or flightless young in the nest. We use a technique called digiscoping to obtain photo documentation.
Following a complete evaluation, Trileaf will provide a report containing our findings, opinions, and conclusions, including our recommendations for proposed construction, maintenance, or modification activities based on the witnessed behaviors and nesting season time periods. We will incorporate photographs and an inactive nest removal permit, if applicable. As always, field notes from our personnel are available upon request.
We will perform proactive research on the endangered species, Native American tribes, wetlands, flood plains, wilderness areas, wildlife preserves, archeological, and historical architectural issues in relation to your site.
Under the EPA’s All Appropriate Inquiries rule, a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (Phase I ESA) is the gold standard. Per the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), purchasing or even leasing real estate may subject a buyer/lessor to environmental liability at a site.
Our RiskCheck Plus streamlines the compliance process. If your project requires an environmental Records Search with Risk Assessment (RSRA) to fulfill SOP requirements for the Small Business Association (SBA), our RiskCheck Plus is the optimal choice.
